B Sc(hons) Physics, PhD Engineering

Tony is an advisor in governance, strategic planning, commercialisation and business growth to high tech companies and R&D organisations drawing on his wide business experience and science background.  He is chairman of Senztek Holdings Ltd a recent winner of the Entrepreneurs Challenge, a finalist in the Air NZ Export Awards and member of the Deloitte Fast 50. He is a director of Vspars, a sail vision company and has advised several other marine technologies. Until recently he held chairman and independent director roles at Phitek Systems Ltd. He also chairs the strategic advisory board for the ECE Engineering department of the University of Auckland as well the industry advisory board for a large multi-university/CRI materials research and commercialisatioin programme.

Tony has a broad range of experience in senior management and board positions in organisations such as Navman, Fletcher Challenge Forests, Industrial Research Ltd, Minder Systems and Oscmar International.  Previous roles include board member of the MacDiarmid Institute, a director of IRL BioPharm, interim CEO of Industrial Research Ltd, judge for the Export awards and the McDiarmid young scientist awards.  He is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Royal Society of New Zealand.
